Vedic Astrology

Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotish, is an ancient Indian system of astrology that has its roots in the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of Hinduism. It is believed to be one of the oldest astrological systems in the world. Vedic astrology focuses on studying the positions and movements of celestial bodies, such as planets and stars, and their influence on human lives.

Key principles of Vedic astrology include:

  1. Birth Chart: Vedic astrology uses the birth chart, also known as the Kundli or horoscope, as a fundamental tool for analysis. The birth chart is a representation of the positions of planets and other astrological elements at the time of an individual’s birth.

  2. Planetary Influences: Vedic astrology assigns significance to the nine planets, including the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu. These planets are believed to influence various aspects of human life, including personality traits, career, relationships, and health.

  3. Houses: The birth chart is divided into twelve houses, each representing different aspects of life, such as family, wealth, education, and marriage. The planetary placements in these houses are analyzed to gain insights into specific areas of a person’s life.

  4. Dashas and Transits: Vedic astrology utilizes planetary periods known as dashas and transits to predict future events and assess the timing of significant life events. Dashas are specific time periods associated with different planets, while transits refer to the current positions of planets in relation to the birth chart
